We are able to offer a large range of door styles from budget melamine through to solid wood plus a host of different worktop materials such as economical laminate as well as solid surfaces like Mistral Acrylic, Granite, Engineered stone and Corian.

Price

JRW have always offered value for money. This does not mean that we will undercut any competitors quotes and offer the lowest price irrespective of all other factors. Our quotations are comprehensive and usually include items or installation work omitted by other firms so do compare like for like when comparing our quote. Our initial quote is never inflated with the lure of discounts should you sign up today as is common practice with big name firms. We offer the best price first time and is non-negotiable without changing the requirements on which it is based.

JRW Kitchens are priced in the middle market sector with us being more expensive than the sheds and joiners who buy from merchants but less expensive than Edinburgh based retailers and our local specialist competitors.

There is little doubt both within the industry and through public awareness that the only truly important aspect of your new dream kitchen is the ability to install that kitchen to the very highest of standards.

That is why JRW are still around today close to 40 years after the founder built his very first cabinet in a back bedroom of a Livingston maisonette. Since that day 99.99% of the furniture manufactured by JRW has been fitted by either the founder Jim or his son David.

That “keep it in the family” ethos has been without question the secret of our success. That secret formula is still working it’s magic today but in a slightly different way with former Directors Jim & Janette deciding to retire after 40 years. David is operating separately under his own trading name alongside other trusted tradesmen but still installing kitchens under the JRW banner

Quality

JRW have always offered high-quality furniture. By using custom built furniture made specifically for you we can monitor quality control to ensure all our furniture is of the highest standard. Our carcases feature 18mm high-density chipboard with the option of colour co-ordinated interiors if you want the inside to compliment the doors of your choice. The front edge is finished with a 2mm thick PVC edging of the highest quality available which is not generally available from our competitors and certainly not from the sheds. We only sell the very best quality doors from suppliers that we have dealt with for decades and know what to recommend and what to avoid. Our accessories that make access into units a breeze are only the best, of course, which means German made Kessebohmer and nothing else. There are many inferior copies on the market that we have tried out and rejected and now only offer what we know through experience to be the best of the best.

That quality extends to appliances with our preferred brand being Neff but we have no objections whatsoever if you wish to take advantage of internet pricing and source your own through big name domestic appliance traders.

Worktops are equally important as these take the brunt of the wear and tear over the 30 year lifespan of a kitchen. If it is laminate you wish then once again it’s German made. The best. If it’s solid surface we can offer different finishes from Granite and quartz to Acrylics and solid timber and our preferred installers are also expert in the installation of Mistral 25mm solid acrylic for that seamless look at a lower cost than Corian.

JRW have never scrimped on quality which is why we very rarely have to carry out an after sales service call or remedial.

Our quality standards don’t just apply to what we build but also to how we install. 30 years of fitting kitchens has allowed us to develop a high quality and unique installation system that ensures you are happy first time.

Customising

Virtually all installations we carry out will contain at least one custom-built piece of furniture and many contain several non-standard pieces to ensure the job fits perfectly. Specials do not usually cost any more than standard size units as they do not cost any more to make. The big difference in the end product is that a JRW kitchen takes on a unique way of looking just right.
